Bertie's Own Love Story
Bertie began life as a nine-seater Brazilian Volkswagen T2 before being lovingly restored and transformed into the unique vehicle he is today. He was imported to the United Kingdom in 2019 and his previous owner created a beautiful bespoke interior designed especially for him. His exterior was just as carefully considered, with his distinctive powder blue paintwork, timeless white roof and bumpers, roof rack, whitewall tyres and polished hubcaps, giving him the unmistakable character he has today. Sadly, circumstances meant that his owner was unable to enjoy Bertie as they had planned, and he later found himself at a specialist dealer, where he remained for several years, waiting for the right person to come along.
Then, in March 2025, we found him! Perhaps Bertie had been waiting for us.
From the moment we saw Bertie, we knew there was something special about him. His stunning blue exterior, beautiful interior and completely individual character made him unlike any other vehicle we had seen. Since bringing him home, Bertie has become a much-loved part of our family, joining us on adventures across the country and creating memories wherever he goes. Now, through Bertie Weddings, we are honoured to share a little of his magic on one of the most important days of your lives.
